We all know what’s involved in standard fitness and personal training programs: counting calories, restricting your favorite foods, doing hours upon hours of cardio…

Have you dozed off yet?

Many personal and group training programs are still practicing those boring, old school approaches to fitness.

Who wants to get off the couch just to stare at a wall for hours while jogging monotonously on the treadmill?

Many fitness and personal training programs just aren’t sustainable – nobody’s going to want to continue treading along at the gym and avoiding their favorite desserts for the rest of their lives.

Is Your Body Working “Against” You?

Not only are most fitness programs downright boring, but they also are based on the idea that your body is naturally working against you.

With this mindset, it can feel like you’re in a constant battle with your own body, feeling guilty about every little indulgence.

Our fitness and training programs at BIM Fitness & Performance, Personal Training in Fort Myers, are based on the exact opposite idea…you can have your body work FOR you, not against you!

This mindset is healthy and sustainable. When you get your body to work for you, you will reach your fitness goals faster and are much less likely to fall back into old unhealthy habits.

A Training Design That is Proven to Work

With the idea that your body can work for you, coupled with fun ways to get moving, our personal and group training programs will turn health & fitness into something you actually ENJOY.

We use a very specific training design that is proven to provide quick and lasting results. This design works with the foods you already eat, combined with a variety of carefully selected and fun exercises to boost your metabolism.

What About Cross fit, Orange Theory, Etc.?

There are a few new types of fitness programs and classes that involve a mix of intense exercises which help combat boredom in the gym.

While these fitness programs are a fun and social outing for many people, they are not always carried out correctly and have led to a lot of injuries…especially in people over 30.

The problem with programs like cross fit and Orange Theory is that they are intensive and competitive. Jumping into one of these programs is very demanding to the body if you are not already strong and active.

Not only are such programs taxing on the body, but the instructors are trained specifically to coach the programs and generally do not have extensive training in injury prevention and treatment.

So, while these programs can add some fun to your workouts, they aren’t great ways to build long-term fitness, especially if you are injury prone.

A Safer Way to Stay Fit for Life

Putting the body through rigorous exercises won’t lead to lasting fitness…instead; it will lead to injury and persistent exhaustion.

Easy and rest days are just as important to your body as harder workout days.

Your body needs a combination of low-impact exercise, intense exercise, and rest in order to continuously gain fitness.

Having the right trainers will make all the difference in getting fit and staying fit.

You will want trainers who not only know which exercises and nutrition advice is scientifically proven effective, but who also know all about injury prevention and treatment.
